Local Endorsements for Byron DeLear Keep Rolling In!

After receiving the Missouri National Education Association (MNEA) recommendation and the overwhelming landside victory with the Jefferson Township Democratic Club , local endorsements for DeLear have kept piling in. An AFL-CIO affiliate, the Glaziers, Architectural, Metal and Glassworkers Local Union 513 have joined six township Democratic Organizations in endorsing DeLear for Congress, including the Clayton Township, Missouri-River Township, Bonhomme Township, Lafayette Township, Jefferson Township and Queeny Township. The Missouri Equal Rights Amendment Political Action Committee has endorsed DeLear (ERAPAC). Also, on June 30th Byron was honored to receive the official National Education Association (NEA) endorsement as their candidate for Missouri's 2nd Congressional District. Candidate DeLear received a 100% rating from NARAL. North County Citizen Group, a coalition of community and labor leaders has endorsed Byron DeLear....

The City of Fenton and area school districts received terrible news nearly two weeks ago with the announcement that Chrysler intends to close the St. Louis South Assembly Plant and eliminate one work shift in the St. Louis North assembly. Hearing the news of the Chrysler shutdown, Congressional Candidate Byron DeLear (D-MO2) expressed his dismay, “I am shocked to see a seemingly callous approach by many of our elected leaders to just stand by and watch our economy get hollowed out with the endless sell-offs, firings and buy-outs to the point of putting Americans in a state of economic trauma.” ....

Democratic Candidate for Congress Byron DeLear called on Rep. Todd Akin to come clean about his support for Bush’s energy policies and the big oil conglomerates.

Last Friday, Rep. Akin staged a publicity stunt over I-70 to promote his new "Energy Extortion Bill". The Akin proposal would allow oil corporations to begin drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) as well as the outer continental shelf.
